etch by Wilm Steelink“A Burning Question” by Wilm Steelink, also know as Willem Steelink Junior, a work he made in cooperation with Jan van Essen in 1895. It is one of 12 limited edition artworks, etches, that where published in a portfolio by a group of joined artists under the name of “De Distel:”, (the Thistle). Other artists with artworks in this portfolio where: Geo Poggenbeek, Carel L. Dake, Ferdinand Gustaaf Oldewelt, Jan van Essen, Nicolaas van der Waay, Jan Hillebrand Wijsmuller and Ernst Sigismund Witkamp Jr. It was published in Amsterdam under editorial of Tj. van Holkema [en Warendorf]. The etchings of this portfolio are also in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.

Price: 80 euro (exclusive additional shipping costs) 

The etching is: 21.5 x 16 cm  The paper is: 44 x 3o.5. The etch is in good condition and has been dry cleaned. The van Gelre paper has yellowed edges and one spot on the upper left corner as shown in the pictures. The etch will be shipped on an acid free backboard 40 x 50 cm and with a paper cover.
