Jan Veringa

Jan  (Johannes) Veringa was born in 1907 in Haarlem and died in 1961.

He was a skilled woodcut and linoleum cut artist and he also made aquarel paintings.

He went to the art teachers school “Rijksnormaalschool voor Teekenonderwijs”  in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Subjects in his work where; landscapes, buildings, nudes, flowers. He made his living as a teacher at art schools and wrote a book about linoleum cutting.

Jan Veringa was a member of art society “Vereeniging st. Lucas” in Amsterdam.
